About

Built by the intelligence community, for the intelligence community.

Ossivane was founded by a former Pentagon defence intelligence analyst, and is built by a team drawn from national security and defence. We started Ossivane because the dangerous gap is not between what is happening and what is known - it is between what is known and what is understood in time to act on it.

Mission

Understanding, in time to act.

Governments are being asked to make faster decisions on more complex questions with less time to think. Ossivane exists to compress the distance between what is known and what is understood, and to do so in a form that a senior decision-maker can trust because the working is visible.

Our contribution is discipline: consistent structure, tiered sources, explicit confidence, named analysts, and outcome measurement. None of it is glamorous. All of it is what makes intelligence usable.

Principles

What we hold to.

Signal over noise

The scarce resource is judgement, not information. We optimise for what matters.

Show the working

Every claim carries a source, a tier, and a confidence. Reasoning is legible.

Composed, not loud

Serious work does not need to shout. Tone is a signal about discipline.

Built for the decision

The brief is designed for the moment a decision-maker reads it, under time pressure.

Consistency is credibility

The same structure every day means change is easy to see when it matters.

Team

People before positions.

Ossivane is a small team by design. Every published assessment carries the name of the analyst accountable for it.

Founder & Chief Analyst

Former Pentagon defence intelligence analyst; two decades across national security.

Head of Analysis

Former all-source analyst; regional lead across contested theatres.

Head of Verification

Open-source verification lead with a background in investigative intelligence.

Head of Engineering

Prior defence and secure systems engineering leadership.

Responsibility

Toward a safer, more peaceful world.

Ossivane works only with verified government, defence, and national security organisations, and only in service of their lawful mandates. Our work is intended to reduce the likelihood of miscalculation, to help counter terrorism, and to give decision-makers a clearer view of the systems in which their choices land. We are consequence-aware; the work is not entertainment.
